Measurement & Anmials

We combined a study of animals and measurement. First we learned how to measure using non-standard units.

We measured our tables with cubes...

We measured our books with hands....

We measured the white board with cubes...

We recorded all of our data.

We measured our lockers with pencils....

We measured our bookshelves with cubes...

We measured the height of our tables with cubes...

and our feet...

While studying reptiles, we drew a snake.

Then we measured the length and width with cubes.

We had so much fun!

It was amazing how long our snakes were.

This is Mike. He is 85 cubes long and 9 cubes wide.

This is Elvis. He is 72 cubes long and 3 cubes wide.

This is Ed. He is 76 cubes long and 9 cubes wide.

This is Max. He is 97 cubes long and 11 cubes wide.
Measurement is so much fun!
