While keeping with the Valentine's Day theme, we decided to sneak in a little number sense with 2 digit addition. |
Each student made a two digit addition love bug. We counted by 2s (eyes). We added, how many red + Pink + Purple love bugs. |
Their dots are suppose to be hearts. Don't you just love first grade:) |
We use Singapore Math so they represented the part, part whole and showed it with their number sentence. Who knew they would be so great at regrouping!!! |
